Kischker Memorial Stone

In 1986, a memorial stone was erected for the people of the village Kischker/Kisker which was founded by German settlers in 1786 in the Batschka region in southern Hungary (today called Bačko Dobro Polje and located in Serbia). The expellees commemorate their dead and missing persons of both world wars as well as their fellow citizens who died in internment camps and while fleeing. Danube Swabian people (Donauschwaben) and their descendants are burried on the cemetery, as many Danube Swabians resettled in the nearby residential area called Kirchfeldsiedlung, where there's also a street called Donauschwabenstraße.
